The residency is intended to support contemporary artists/curators/writers in research and creating new work. Residents enjoy freedom in making artistic choices and deciding on how to manage their residencies. The Art Incubator will also assist residents who wish go beyond Singapore and spend time in other parts of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. DISCIPLINES Open to visual artists working in all disciplines, curators, writers and researchers. APPLICATION GUIDELINES The Art Incubator welcomes artists who are interested in working in Singapore and Southeast Asia and who are keen to explore this diverse region. There are no restrictions on nationalities, but artists are responsible for applying for a valid tourist or social visitor’s pass. SELECTION CRITERIA Artists are selected based on their portfolio and experience. Artists need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of professional activity over at least two years.
